Chiropractic adjustment

Spinal joints contain a fluid known as synovial fluid. This fluid contains dissolved gases. As your spine is adjusted, the spinal joints are stretched, creating a gap between the two joints. This reduces the pressure exerted on the joint fluid, causing the release of dissolved gases. The release of the gases is what creates an audible “pop”.If a “popping” sound does not occur in a chiropractic adjustment, it simply means that there were no sounds from the escaping gases.
