Physical Therapist
During your first visit with a physical therapist, he or she will discuss the following:

  • Medical history
  • Current complaints
  • Pain intensity
  • Goals of physical therapy

The therapist will then perform an evaluation, which may include muscle testing, range of motion, palpation and posture assessment. Following this, he or she will prepare a diagnosis and treatment plan. The treatment includes the number of times you should see the therapist per week, the number of weeks you will need therapy, therapeutic exercises, patient education, etc.
